Choosing the right size

How to Choose the Right Size

To ensure the best possible fit for your dog, it is important to choose the correct size. Most product pages include a specific size guide with measurements and recommendations. We recommend reviewing the guide before placing your order.

1. Take Your Dog’s Basic Measurements

Even though these are not custom-made items, choosing the right size is based on your dog’s measurements. Measure your dog while they are standing in a natural position.

Key measurements:

  • Neck circumference

  • Chest circumference (the widest part)

  • Back length (from the base of the neck to the base of the tail)

  • Any additional measurements requested on the product page

Use a soft measuring tape and ensure the measurement is snug but not too tight.

2. Compare Measurements with the Size Guide

Sizing may vary slightly between different products.

  • Select the size that most closely matches your dog's measurements.

  • If your dog falls between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size to ensure comfort.

  • Take note of the product’s material and adjustability (e.g., Velcro, buckles, or elastic sections).

3. Consider Your Dog’s Build and Coat

  • For dogs with thick fur, it is often best to choose a slightly larger size.

  • For lean or short-haired dogs, a more fitted size may be better.

  • For puppies, remember to allow some room for growth, but ensure the product is safe and fits properly for immediate use.

4. Check the Product’s Intended Use

  • Harnesses: The most important measurement is the chest circumference.

  • Coats and Jackets: Back length and chest circumference are crucial.

  • Collars: Neck circumference is key, and the adjustment range helps ensure a perfect fit.
